BIG DISTRACTION IS NOW CLOSED
That's right, folks. I'm done. This doesn't mean I'm done with icons because, come on, all my favorite shows are coming back this fall and I can't possibly stay away from photoshop for too long. But from now on I'll be posting all my new stuff at my personal journal, ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) funkybaby, which has recently turned Public again, so feel free to add me. This doesn't mean I'll be adding everyone back, I'm trying to keep my flist relatively short, so don't take it personally.
If anyone's wondering why I'm doing this, truth is? I have no idea. I just feel like it. Crazy, crazy, I know.
This journal will now be used as an archive for my old icons only.

I'm taking requests. Read this before requesting an icon, please:
- Only icons, please! This means, obivously, no wallpapers, friends only banners, etc.
- I'm starting out with nothing serious and taking 20 requests ONLY. The first 20 people to comment get an icon.
- Be specific. Provide me with (this is important) a good quality cap/picture AND the text you want on the icon. If you don't want text, say you want it blank.

Feel free to alter them as you like, I only cropped them...so feel free to add text or whatever. Just one request though, don't alter the Logan/Veronica back. It has a special place in my heart still. ^-^

Lately I, and you all, have seen many many MANY icons that pretty much look the same. It didn't bother me too much, until I started making a Veronica Mars icon and suddenly realized I was practically copying one of _jems_'s latest icons. It was all there. The cropping was almost identical, the colors were similar. And then I thought to myself, SHIT, I'm becoming one of THEM.
My point is, everyone used to be original once. Now you see two icons by two different people and you can't even tell them apart.
So, I've decided, out of curiosity, and of course the need to know where to draw the line, to ask you all to tell me your opinions: what do you think about the latest icon-making trend called COPYING? Do you think it really is copying, or is it natural to use others' techniques? Which techniques are overused? Which were not meant to be discovered and make your eyes bleed? Everything about icon-making, I wanna see in the comments.
p.s - I have not given up on my almost-identical-to-_jems_'s icon. I like it too much and still working on it. Hopefully, she will forgive me this one time. :)
